Introduction: Paralympic powerlifting demands high muscular effort and may lead to postural imbalances and asymmetries. Objective: To assess posture and isokinetic muscle performance of upper limbs in paralympic powerlifting athletes. Methods: Cross-sectional study with 10 paralympic athletes submitted to postural evaluation by photogrammetry and muscle strength analysis using isokinetic dynamometry. Results: Postural changes were found in cervical and thoracic segments, as well as imbalance between shoulder flexors and extensors. Conclusion: Paralympic powerlifting athletes show postural alterations and muscle asymmetries that should be considered in training and physiotherapeutic interventions.
